This lovely apartment was the base for stop 2 of recreating a trip I did in 2014 with the guys to watch the Tour de France, where we saw the end of stage 6 in Reims and the start of stage 7 in Epernay. As in 2014, stop 1 this time was Epernay and unlike in 2014 there actually there was opportunity this time to visit one the champagne houses and its cellars. Reims is huge. On the second morning here, the Sunday, the annual Reims 10k race was taking place, which meant waiting until around 5pm to find a decent lunch.
